Story Developer & Story Consultant
To put it simply, I love helping other creators, writers and artists develop their own work for the screen, stage, online and or whatever form is most important to those I work with… Development can be such an elusive position, but I love giving feedback, notes and script coverage to lead from a position of asking questions first and empowering collaborators to trust their truths and story instincts… I was selected for Screen Australia’s 2019 Developing the Developer program, an initiative run by Louise Gough and Bali Padda, that sought to train Australia’s rise of story developers from underrepresented cultural backgrounds….
This led me to two diverse stints in TV Development and story coverage in Theatrical Distribution. I underwent a 3 month Development Placement for LINGO PICTURES where I provided script coverage on outlines, script drafts 30-60 min comedy/drama TV series, notetaker on writers’ rooms, assessing books and pitch decks for option and liasing with publishers/writers’ agents… My was when I was selected for the Scripted Ink/AWG’s Writers’ 2022 Internship for STUDIOCANAL where everyday every hour on the reg I was giving script coverage on 20+ theatrical films for cinema during the Cannes 2022 film market as assistant to Head of Sales & Acquisitions…
…. I was for 3 years the Producer’s Attachment (Development) for 2023 AACTA nominated Best Film HERE OUT WEST where I worked alongside producers Co Curious’ Annabel Davis and Emerald Productions’ Sheila Jayadev, liased between producers and writers, notetaker for x 2 writers rooms with script producer Blake Ayshford, writing pitch materials, organising script cast readthroughs, script notes meetings, financing meetings, feature film timeline, sponsorship research…
… I’ve also been a Story Consultant on Grace Tan’s award-winning short Lucky Peach (MIFF and ADG nominated)…
… a Story Consultant on TV comedy-drama series The Brolly Shelf’s How To Make Friends In Your 30s (Calgary Canada)…
…. and current Creative Developer on Panos, Pannos & George, a feature film written by Damien Strouthos, directed by Peter Andrikidis with current Development funding from Screen Australia…
AND… (insert you, hopefully my next collab). Don’t hesitate to get in touch below!
